- Is this a serial publication?
- No. It is hoped to publish a new edition every two years.
- Will it be updated, and how?
- Yes, we intend to keep the publication updated. Between editions, updated information will be published on the web at "http://www.newcastle.edu.au/centre/sorti/". Owners of the PAJE database will be able to amend their version as indicated.
- What is this "Tax Invoice"?
- The Australian Government legislated that all transactions within Australia should have a "Tax Invoice" - a form of receipt that shows the amount of Goods and Services Tax (GST) paid.
- I am overseas. Do I pay GST?
- No, overseas purchasers do not pay the 10% G.S.T. This amount is not refunded to overseas buyers by the seller, it goes towards covering air-freight costs for overseas purchasers.
- Do you allow academic libraries to hold and lend out this product?
- The publication is sold with copyright law protection.
- In general terms it is not appropriate for publishers to give advice to professional librarians and other users on what they may legally do with the material however see http://www.digital.org.au/news.htm/FDH and other sources for information about these matters.
- The material may not be copied and distributed [via a computer network or other means] as this would conflict with the copyright holders commercial rights to make money from sales of the publication to academics and students.
- Are there any license restrictions or password requirements?
- No.
- Are there any software requirements?
- As stated in the brochure regarding PAJE, the database is in MS Excel which is copyright by Microsoft. PAJE does not provide a copy of MS Excel but most purchasers of PAJE will own a licensed copy of MS Excel or can purchase it. Text documentation in PAJE is either in HTML or PDF. Users are responsible for providing the software to enable use of those parts of the PAJE publication.
